The church is made up of baptized believers.

“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'”
(Matthew 28:18-20)

The church is not a place, it is a group of Christians who meet in a place.

“To Philemon our dear friend and fellow worker, to Apphia our sister, to Archippus our fellow soldier and to the church that meets in your home: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
(Philippians 1:1-3)

The church is a group of people called out for a specific purpose.

There is only one church (body) of Christ. This church is called out┬áto do the will of God on earth. In His great wisdom, God has provided the church with a simple organization with emphasis on Jesus as the head and spiritual men who provide leadership…under the head.

Where the body meets is not important.

“For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”
(Matthew 18:20)
In some places, there is no church that meets New Testament standards. This section explores the Biblical standards.
